Lapel Town Council Meeting
September 27, 2017
In attendance: Michael Cates, Lindsay Washmuth, Deb Wainscott, Dave Taylor, Tony Pearson and Dennis Molina.
6:30pm meeting called to order.
A public hearing was held for the 2018 Budget.
Discussion was held on the 2017 Budget vs the 2018 Budget, the public was asked for comment, being no comment from the public the hearing was closed. Adoption hearing set for October 11, 2017 at 6:30pm at Lapel Town Hall.
Paul Vincent and John Goodman from RQAW addressed the Council about the Community Crossroads Grant. The contracts with INDOT and drawdown agreements are in process. A meeting will be held October 17 at 12:30pm at the Lapel Town Hall to discuss the bidding process.
An income survey has been suggested to help procure grants from OCRA; Mike Kleinpeter of Kleinpeter Consulting was on hand to brief the Council about obtaining a survey for these grants. An income study done now would be good for 4 years. Cates made the motion to hire Kleinpeter to do the survey, 2nd by Taylor and all were in favor.
Being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
