The Lapel Town Council met in special session this date, at the Lapel Town Hall, at 7pm, with the following members present - Gary Shuck, President; Tim Munro, Vice President; Debra Wainscott, Cary Tony Pearson, and Clay Parkison, Members; Tom Tudor, Clerk/Treasurer; Bill Byer, Attorney. Daniel Paull was in attendance, citizen of the Town of Lapel.

Byer opened the public hearing concerning the increase in water rates for the purpose of constructing a new water treatment plant and additional water storage facility. There were no comments from the members present and the public.

Parkison moved, seconded by Munro, motion carried unanimously, ORDINANCE #9. An ordinance amending ordinance #8, 2010 establishing new rates and charges for the use and services rendered by the water works system of the Town of Lapel, Indiana .... All of which is passed and adopted this 25th Day of October, 2011 by the Town Council of the Town of Lapel, Madison County, Indiana.

The council discussed the imposition of the new water rates. The rates would be incurred in December, 2011 payable with the billing due in January, 2012.

There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting was adjourned.
