ABOUT THE PARKS BOARD
The Lapel Parks Board is a volunteer advisory board appointed by the Lapel Town Council. Board members help plan, develop, and maintain the Town’s parks and recreational facilities ensuring Lapel remains a great place to live, play, and grow for residents of all ages.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend regular monthly board meetings
- Review and recommend parks improvement projects
- Assist with programming and community events
- Advise the Town Council on parks-related matters
- Engage with residents and listen to community needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a resident of the Town of Lapel
- 18 years of age or older
- Interest in parks, recreation, or community development
- Ability to attend scheduled 4th Thursday monthly meetings
- No prior board experience required — just a passion for Lapel!
Board members serve 4-year terms and are appointed by the Lapel Town Council. This is a volunteer, unpaid position.
