Lapel Planning Commission

September 9, 2021 @ 6:30pm

Lapel Eagles

 

In person attendance was Dan Paddock, Paula Lee, Teresa Retherford, Matt Wood, Jeff Keith, Angie Duncan, Corrie Meyer, and Kourtney Krabbe. Attending virtually was town attorney, Shanna Kelly. The public could attend tonight’s meeting either in person at the Lapel Eagles, or online using the GoTo Meeting link posted on the Town of Lapel’s Facebook page.

A motion to approve the June 10th meeting minutes was made by Lee, 2nd by Wood. Voting yes was Lee, Paddock, Wood, & Duncan; Keith & Retherford abstained due to not being present for that meeting.

A motion to approve the July 8th meeting minutes was made by Lee, 2nd by Wood. Voting yes was Retherford, Lee, Wood, & Duncan; Keith & Paddock abstained due to not being present for that meeting.

A motion to approve the August 12th meeting minutes was made by Retherford, 2nd by Keith. Voting yes was Paddock, Keith, Wood, Retherford; Lee & Duncan abstained due to not being present for that meeting.

A motion to approve permits 2612-2618 was made by Retherford, 2nd by Lee; all were in favor.

New Business/Old Business: Wood stated he noticed the start of construction at the old CVS building off Pendleton Ave., and asked for an update on their plans. Krabbe informed that the building inspector spoke with them last week & provided them with a permit for soffits and siding. They are waiting for the State to approve their State Design Release before the Town can provided them with a permit for further construction.

Brian Robertson informed the Planning Commission that he was approved to hook into the town sewer line & is no longer in need of a septic tank for his business lot off. He showed the Commission a rough drawing of the plan for the lot without a septic tank. Corrie Meyer to reach out to Robertson to help answer further questions.

Planning Commission asked to have the building inspector look at the property at 726 Main Street, and the property at 323 Central Avenue. Both properties need to be sealed off to the elements, or blocked off to prevent trespassing and ensure safety.

Being nothing further to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
