LAPEL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
FEBRUARY 8, 2024

In attendance: Matt Wood, Brian Robertson, Chris Higginbotham, Justin Mayes, Brandon
Hutchison, Amy Egly, Andrea Baldwin and Teresa Retherford, secretary.

Wood introduced a new member, Justin Mayes.

Wood stated that the Planning Commission would start meeting at the Lion's Club next month.

Robertson stated that the Planning Commission needed to appoint a citizen member to the
Board of Zoning Appeals and make a recommendation to the Town Council for a second
member to be appointed to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Wood nominated Andrea Baldwin to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Robertson 2nd• There were
no other nominations so a vote was taken and all were in favor.

Baldwin recommended Amy Egly to the Town Council to be appointed to the Board of Zoning
Appeals. Robertson 2nd• There were no other nominations so a vote was taken and all were in favor.

Baldwin asked if the Commission has an update on the Blue Church. Wood stated he would
contact the owners and see if they would come to the next meeting.

Motion to adjourn made by Wood, Hutchison 2nd and all were in favor.
