Lapel Planning Commission

Lapel Eagles

In person attendance included Teresa Retherford, Dan Paddock, Matt Wood, Gary Shuck, Angie Callaway, Jeff Keith, & Kourtney Krabbe. Town Attorney Shanna Kelly attended the meeting virtually. The public could attend tonight’s meeting either in person at the Lapel Eagles, or online using the GoTo Meeting link posted of the Town of Lapel’s Facebook page.

A motion to approve November 17^th meeting minutes was made by Retherford, 2^nd by Keith; all voted yes except Paddock who abstained.

A motion to approve permits 2633-2638 was made by Keith, 2^nd by Wood; all voted yes.

Old Business: The house at the Wyant Property has been tore down, and burnt down. The Planning Commission would like Mr. Wyant to attend a meeting at the beginning of the year to discuss a time frame for the rest of the property clean up.

It has come to a few members attention that some houses around town are being sold with deed restrictions that are greater than the Lapel Zoning Codes. Keith asked how we as a town are supposed to keep track of these restrictions if we do not currently require a copy of the deed when obtaining a permit.

Gary Shuck announced his retirement from the Lapel Planning Commission effective 12/31/2021.

The next scheduled Planning Commission meeting will be January 13, 2021 @ 6:30pm at the Lapel Eagles. Any changes will be posted to the Lapel Facebook Page.

Being nothing further to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
